Captured during a cross-country solo journey (2018-2019), these photographs from the American West, Alaska, and the Great Plains explore terrain whose scale is so vast as to feel simultaneously overwhelming and intimate. In this series, human elements - roads disappearing into fog, geometric agricultural patterns, distant structures - exist in delicate balance with natural vastness. Using techniques such as compression and aerial photography to play with perspective, each image aims to capture that paradoxical sensation of feeling diminished and expanded by the landscape — a reminder that significance is often just a matter of perspective.
